POSITION: Skilled LPG Tanker Attendants: Introduction To assist the road Tanker Operator in safely and promptly loading , transporting, unloading Bulk LPG ( Petroleum) products from refinery/LPG Plants to various destinations in Qatar as per the established guidelines and as directed by immediate Dispatch Clerk. Scope of Work: • To assist the operator in regularly inspecting and checking road tanker condition in order to ensure that is sound to be operated during and at each commencement of work. • To communicate with customers before delivering LPG to ensure safe parking. • Responsible of inspecting the customers’ site- especially the storage location – before delivering LPG and check. 1. For any leak 2. Valves Conditions 3. Gauge Conditions 4. LPG levels, 5. Tanks fittings 6. etc. • Assist tanker operator to park the tanker in the heavy traffic areas. • Assist tanker operator to operate equipments (Compressors, pumps & meter stations) assuring safe transfer of product to and from storage tanks/tanker. • Cross check the LPG level available on customers’ storage capacities using the bleeder. • To attend while filling /loading the tanker with product required as per delivery order in order to ensure that requirements are fulfilled in a safety manner. • Prepare LPG road tanker hose for product transfer, verifies quantity, perform safety inspection before proceeding to hook up the different types of connections. • May assist in checking delivery orders and delivery receipts and obtaining signature and client stamp on each delivery receipts after discharging products in order to ensure proper documentations of activities. • Report accident to dispatch clerk/ supervisor and assist in providing information for investigation and accident report. The same applies to serious malfunction and regularly check transport log to establish daily work progress. • Can be called anytime for duty for emergency evacuation ( day & night ,even on Friday) • Be conscious of fire & safety regulations and should be capable to operate fire extinguisher at the time of emergency • Observing proper safety procedures at all times. Job-Specific Skills • Have maintenance skills and knowledge in pumps, compressors and metering systems. • Have Knowledge about petroleum product (LPG) and its characteristics. • Physically able to work in hard condition. • Good communication skills with customers. • Ability to work under pressure. • Attention to details. • English and Arabic is required. Training • LPG Safe delivery process. (Metering, pumping, connecting, discharging and site inspecting). • Use of storage tank bleeder for level checking. Minimum Qualifications: • Secondary (12 Years) Education. Minimum Experience: • 5 years of experience including 3 years on the job training in the Refinery /LPG Bottling Plant Operations as operator/technician. Contract period: • Contract will be of period of five (05) Years. Operation Conditions: • The Tanker Attendants will work at LPG Plant and accompany the Tanker Operator in the LPG Road Tanker and most work effort is perform at customer site (Rooftop, aboveground and underground customer installations) exposed to ambient climate condition and hazardous area. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment: • Safety induction and roles to be performed during emergencies. • Follow WOQOD QHSSE and PPE requirements, Heat Stress and environmental compliance. WOQOD Obligations: • Training on operational Safety. • Issuance of gate passes. Working hours: • 8 hrs. working and may work on rotational shifts • Due to operational requirement, required to report for duty on Saturdays and maybe on Fridays.(on call basis) • Can be called anytime (Day/night) for emergency LPG evacuation operations.
