GENERAL: (For all disciplines) A. Performs applicable duties required of a Senior Inspector Il within the assigned Inspection discipline and certification 1 Imitations . B. Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, Inspection methods In various disciplines and NDT methods . C. Performs Inspections the Incumbent Is qualified/certified to perform. D. Writes Inspection reports, pre & post reports, worksheets, non- compliance reports and makes logbook entries of on-site Inspection findings, as appropriate ensuring that all hard copy and electronic databases are Initiated and maintained. E. Completes training and certification as required by the Job Training Standard, Job Description and employee’s IDP for grade code L 2 position entry F. Performs other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the applicable Supervisor . PROCESS PIPE & EQUIPMENT/WELDING: a. Monitors non-destructive testing examination results to determine defects, corrosion, mechanical damage, or blockages and makes recommendations for repairs or replacement as required. b. Performs all types of equipment inspection including that which requires the use of calipers, micrometers, infrared camera, borescopes, gages, etc. to assure continued safe operation . c. Performs all tests and inspections on equipment that has been repaired or modified to assure that the equipment meets the manufacturers and/or Saudi Aramco's specifications and Industry (ASME / API / AWS) code requirements. Must preferably hold and maintain one relevant API certification from API 510, 570, 653, AWS certified welding inspector and if specified by his- applicable  Department RTF I level Il certification as per SAEP-1140 . d. Performs all necessary inspections for the installation of hot tap, weld plus ends repair sleeves, or any welding that is required of piping or equipment while in service. e. Monitors heat treatment of piping, vessels, and equipment . f. Witnesses hydrostatic and/or pneumatic tests on static equipment which includes the review of Hydrostatic, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams as well a Safety Instruction Sheets to assure that the correct pressure is used, the system is isolated properly and that relief valves are properly set and installed. g. Performs welder performance and welding procedure qualification records review. h. Monitors all aspects of welding operation on new or existing equipment . i. Evaluates equipment for fitness for service based on API 510 criteria. j . Assists in Risk Based Inspection Assessments by providing required data. COATINGS : a. Performs inspections of surface preparation for coatings, including anchor pattern measurements . b. Certifies critical coatings applicators . c. Inspects compressors, air blast hoses and other items of equipment necessary to achieve satisfactory blasting nozzle pressures d. Checks coating thickness to ensure conformance with Code and Standard requirements . e. Performs holiday testing of critical coatings . RELIEF VALVES : a. Performs assessments of business line and contractor relief valve programs and. facilities . b. Reviews relief valve authorization requests for completeness and order and ensures approval by the appropriate individual . c. Provides tutorial information to users and promotes use of system for relief valve test date through SAP . d. Initiates- computer processing service requests and reports encountered with production runs. (Applicable to ID Corporate remote entry problems when level only) NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING: a. Performs non-destructive inspections on the following but not limited to, welded structural components, and mechanical components (e.g. valves, pumps, pressure vessels, tanks, etc. ) b. Assists with the development of NDT procedures and techniques . c. Applies standards of acceptance and rej ection to the results of non- destructive testing in the determination of acceptability of materials and/or equipment inspected. d. Directs and/or provides technical assistance to others in the non- destructive testing e. Assists in the interpretation of codes and standards and in the development of procedures and technique sheets, as required. f. Prepares drafts and/or final reports including: as required, sketches or drawings indicating the status of acceptance and rejection and the necessary details. g. Evaluates drafts and/or final reports or assists in the compiling of final reports. h. Evaluates the operational condition and performs calibration, re- calibration of his equipment and assist other in doing the same and perform calibration of equipment utilized by others .
