Job title Plant Manager – Standard duties and responsibilities 1 Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures 2 Plan and manage the plant resources and work schedule to meet agreed production plans and targets 3 Ensure adequate supplies of raw-materials and consumable are made available for the plant to meet production targets 4 Ensure all the pieces of plant machinery and tools are properly maintained so that down-time is reduced to the minimum 5 Maintain a clean and safe plant 6 Establish and direct plant policies and procedures. Establish all shift production schedules 7 Ensure plant production goals are achieved 8 Establish and maintain a positive community relationship among the workers. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff 9 Support selection and training of plant supervisory and administrative staff 10 Conduct employee performance reviews. 11 Schedule and conduct plant meetings 12 Report periodically on production plan Vs achievement 13 Ensure that company’s quality system policies and procedures are strictly followed in all areas of plant operation and production Qualification : Bachelor degree in Production engineering preferred Or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience : 7 - 10 years work related experience (solid experience as Plant Manager in a manufacturing/Steel fabrication industry for Structural Steel, Cable trays etc. Significant manufacturing knowledge in steel fabrication industry (Advanced) Capable of reading and intepreting shopdrawings / sketches (Advanced) Production planning and scheduling skills (Advanced) Capable of effectively handling multinational workforce (at different levels) (Advanced) Capable of appraising subordinates (Advanced) Management reporting skill (Advanced) Managerial and inter-personal skill (Delegation and people management skill) Resource management skill Analytical and problem solving skill Commitment to quality Professional passion and drive Occupational health and safety awareness (advanced) Desirable computer skill ; Effective communication skill
