The main role is maintenance of online analysers on
running plant.
• To carry out daily inspection, preventive maintenance
and corrective maintenance jobs.
• To carry out servicing of Process Analysers and
sampling system for water, gas and liquid hydrocarbon analysers.
• To carry out preventive maintenance on Fire and Gas
detection system on the whole complex.
• To carry out Preventive maintenance and corrective
maintenance on Heat & Smoke detectors in the buildings, substations, RIBs and Gas detectors in HVAC ducts of the buildings.
• To strictly adhere to plant safety protocol and good
housekeeping.
• To be able to work in day and night shifts.
• To maintain and update job completion records
calibration certificates.
• Familiar with gas cylinders handling and related
hazards of pressure and different gasses.
• The technicians must pass PTW1 and PTW2 as soon
as fulfil the requirement of ORYXGTL onsite duration.
The Analyser Technician shall report directly to the
ANALYZER SUPERVISOR and carry out all related works
for the analyser section and directed by Analyser
supervisor.
Minimum Qualification/Experience
Education:
Min Qualification requirement is 2 years ITI or
equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or engineering certificate course with 6 years’ experience in Petrochemical/ Oil/ Gas industries. 3 Years diploma in relevant engineering is preferred.
Experience:
6 years hands-on experience in Analyser erection, loop checking, commissioning and maintenance of Analysers related to equipment in oil, gas, petrochemical or
fertilizer which include: -
• Various types of Process Analysers, Gas
Chromatograph, Infra-Red/ Ultra Violet, pH,
Conductivity, Moisture, TOC, Physical Properties,
Density, Heat value, Flue Gas/ CEMS, Oxygen Purity.
• Sufficient experience in handling of all Rosemount
Smart version transmitters and ABB GC, IR, UV.
• Troubleshooting of various types of Analyser systems
and Sample Handling systems, etc.
• Fire and Gas systems and knowledge of ESD, DCS and
local PLC control panel equipment.
Required Outputs
• Maximize the Reliability & Availability of plant
equipment
• Carries out routine preventive maintenance of
equipment according to schedules, check lists and
specific equipment requirements. This includes
cleaning of strainers, filters and general overhaul of
equipment. Repairs and or replaces defective parts,
reassembles overhauled equipment and carries out
necessary tests and performance monitoring upon
start-up
• Assists in planning annual shutdown and major
equipment turnarounds and carries out complete
overhaul static equipment. Reassembles and tests
equipment in accordance with requirements or tests
schedules.
• Assist in inspection of equipment for its healthiness
• Strict Adherence to Plant Safety Protocols & Good
housekeeping
• Perform Continuous Improvement: Improve
Reliability of Equipment/Process, Improve Safety,
Improve Maintainability, Reduce Cost, Active
participation in Major Development Projects
• Maintain / Update the job completion records
• Perform Technical investigation & Root Cause Analysis
• Interact closely with the Planning Team and ensure
smooth operation
• Request for external material and services if needed
• Responsible for the support of Company Safety,
environment and Quality policies and programs, and
carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related
to his job as spelled out in Management system
documentation, policies, procedures, local
documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
• Adhere to the Work management Process of GTL
processes / procedures
• Train & get trained.
