Direct the work of all personnel in his area, initiate requests for spare parts, special tools and the like, maintain equipment maintenance records, direct maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment including disassembly and reassembly, diagnose mechanical problems with analytical instruments, perform and/or direct preventive maintenance and/or overhauls defined in the preventive maintenance program using workshop facilities, ensure safe working conditions for his personnel.
